Sembol Insaat Board Chairman Fettah Tamince giving explanation in relation to Halic Dockyard Project (Halicport) that was won a contract amount of 1 billion 347 million dollars said, “History in Halic goes 8500 years back. We will consult and construct all the buildings that need to be protected in Halic. Halicport will not be a concrete mass”.
Sembol Insaat that has accomplished many successful projects on a global scale, with statements made by Fettah Tamince, the Board Chairman put end to discussions that emerged after winning the bid of Halicport. Tamince said: “In result of discussions started immediately after our winning the bid of Halicport as Sembol Insaat and concerning that Instabul’s cultural texture and its history of thousands years would be destroyed, with open heartedness I can say the following. We will proceed acting without hesitation taking the views of Istanbul citizens before starting the project. As Sembol Insaat we will protect every building that will be preserved in Halicport, Haliçport will not be a concrete mass, we will make a project to be applauded”.
Tamince, who considers the objections about zoning and construction on Halicport project where 1 billion dollar to be invested, added: “To finish these disputes it is necessary to strengthen the institutions and increase the number of missions. Today the most authoritative person of the protection council in Russia is the city’s architect. Inspecting and approving all your work we plan a 1 billion dollars investment Haliport project; and we have to resolve our problems with the authorization-approval mechanism as soon as possible”.
Rixos Hotels will continue to grow
Fettah Tamince, the Board Chairman of Sembol Insaat, who is prominent with investments in Rixos in the tourism field, stated that Rixos had reached 26 hotels in 10 countries and until the end of 2014, one in Crimea, two in Kazakhstan, one by one in Antalya Belek, Gocek and Eskisehir, so five Rixos hotels in total would be opened.
“Our investment near Phaselis Ancient City was declared a protected area, we did not object”.
Fettah Tamince, about the investments in Phaselis, the ancient city, discussed much recently in Antalya, said: “Our investment in Phaselis region is 1.7 km away from the ancient city. It is an archaeological site of the first degree. In 2011, our 17-acre area was the site of the second degree. We did not object. So we have become neighbors to the site. There are serious limitations of the ministry concerned”.
