The largest media center in Central Asia was opened in Kazakhstan`s capital city Astana with the efforts of Sembol Insaat
Sembol Insaat, one of the leading construction companies in Turkey, completed the construction of Central Asia’s largest media center in Astana, and added a new achievement in a global scale. The official opening of the “Astana Media Center”, the construction of which started in 2010 and completed in a short period of one year, was held on December 10/2011 by Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
“Astana Media Center”, built by Sembol İnşaat, opened the ceremony of the 20th anniversary of the independence of Kazakhstan, and President Nazarbayev voiced his belief that this center, equipped with the modern technology, would broadcast at world standards.
Chairman of the Board of Sembol Insaat Aytekin Gultekin, who gave information about the construction work during the opening ceremony, said that for seven years they have constructed very important projects in Kazakhstan and stated that one of these projects “Astana Media Center”, the foundation of which was laid on last January, was successfully completed at a very short time. Gültekin also said that the Media Center, which has 80,000 square meters of closed area and is equipped with the latest technological facilities, has no similar projects in Asia, Middle East and Europe.
“Astana Media Center” in figures
There are two panoramic studios with 900 square meters, two studios with an area of 800 square meters, four studios with an area of 250 square meters for news broadcasting, and two studios with an area of 400 square meters, for social programs, the cinema hall with a capacity of 1000 people and five outdoor giant screen monitors with an area of 350 to 540 square meters and the biggest in Europe screen monitor with an area of 620 square meters which are place in a media center, that can broadcast 20 channels and has 17 studios.
